Homes That Transform Lives

New Leaf Wellbeing Homes is a property ownership and management company providing high-quality residential homes to social care providers across County Durham.

We specialise in sourcing and managing residential properties for supported living schemes.

Through a government-backed supported housing scheme, we work closely with private landlords who want to do more with their properties—delivering safe, well-managed comfortable homes.

We believe we can make a genuine difference to people’s lives helping support individuals who need stable housing the most.

Landlords who partner with us benefit from a fully managed arrangement and enhanced rental returns, receiving a reliable and rewarding investment opportunity typically achieving 50% above local standard market rates.

At New Leaf we supply our own properties into the scheme alongside our private landlords.

At New Leaf Wellbeing Homes, property investment meets real social impact.

Julie Edwards - The Founder

Julie is a working Mum of two with over 35 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development.

She began her career at the age of 16, progressing through the corporate world while studying for a degree in Business, Finance and Marketing.

During her career, Julie worked with globally recognised brands, including L'Oréal and Heinz, across both national and international markets.

In 2016, following personal adversity, Julie stepped away from corporate life.

She went on to build her own property portfolio across the UK and Europe, gaining extensive experience in property investment and management.

In 2020, alongside developing her property business, Julie began working with a woman with cerebral palsy who requires full-time care. She supports the coordination of day-to-day living, working closely with a team of 10 personal assistants and carers.

Julie has also maintained a strong commitment to supporting mental health. She volunteered with Samaritans for five years as a listener, mentor and trainer.

Following the loss of her brother to suicide in 2022 and her own breast cancer diagnosis in 2023, her commitment to helping others has remained unwavering through her positive and fun outlook on life.

After completing active treatment, Julie trained her dog "Rocky" to do therapy work and began visiting various venues to bring comfort and positivity to others.

These experiences inspired her to found New Leaf Wellbeing Homes, combining her business, property and personal experience with a genuine desire to give back.

The organisation focuses on creating safe, stable homes where vulnerable individuals can rebuild confidence, regain independence, and move forward with dignity.
